Ogden, Utah

Ogden, Utah is a city in Northern Utah, just 35 miles above Salt Lake City. Ogden is a city that is nestled against the Wasatch Mountains, attracting skiers and snow boarders from all over the country. History:
The first settlement of Ogden occurred in 1846 by trapper Miles Goodyear. The city was purchased a year later and renamed "Brownsville." The City was later re-named a third time, the latest instance after a brigade leader of the Hudson Bay Company, Peter Skene Ogden. The city of Ogden also has its roots in the Junction City of the Transcontinental Railroad, which was completed at Promontory Summit in 1869. For decades, Ogden was considered the major passenger railroad junction of the West. In the winter of 2002, the world's eyes were open to the beauty of Ogden thanks to several Winter Olympic Games that had taken place there. Ogden has ever since, grown to be a recreation metropolis with sights set on becoming the recreation capital of the world.

Economy:
The median household income in Ogden, Utah is estimated at $34,000.  MBesides all the business that the recreational industries are bringing to the city, Odgen also holds an impression amount of successful companies. These notable headquarters include the oil company, Flying J Inc; Marketstar, the sales and marketing company; Autolive, the automotive safety equipment company; and the Bank of Utah.
Ogden serves as a regional economic hub for Northern Utah. Local  government including that of the City of Ogden,  that of Weber County, and the local school districts, are all located in Ogden. In addition, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has a large presence in the city of Ogden and is its largest employer, employing over 5,000 residence.

Tourism:
According to the New York Times, Ogden, Utah is up and coming really quickly to other outdoor adventure towns like Boulder, Colorado. There’s so much to do here if you account for the miles of trail space through the Wasatch-Cache National Forest towards the Odgen and Weber Rivers, the Snowbasin Resort that was the site for the 2002 Winter Olympics, the new 125,000-square-foot Salomon Recreation Center that is fully equipped with a climbing wall, surf rider pool and a bowling alley. As the town’s efforts to better the town continue, people are effortlessly being attracted to moving here.
