Moving to Rhode Island
On the way to Rhode Island you'll see the mesh of New York and Massachusetts license plates on the highway turn to Ocean State license places as you approach the border of Rhode Island. Of course, the plates are paying homage to the beautiful state of Rhode Island that stretches across several bays and inlets. Although the latter part of its name suggests otherwise, Rhode Island sits on the mainland of the U.S. The state is tiny in comparable to the other states. It's small enough to drive across it in a day. But on the 1,214 square mile land, there are adventures and a bounty of beautiful sights. We daydream about moving to Rhode Island and getting an apartment overlooking the water. Rhode Island cities are tight-knit, clean and full of quaint neighborhoods tat are a blast to wander through.

Other than people being lured here by the great education systems, history and scenery, that are also pulled in by the unique cuisine. In Rhode Island, there are dishes that you can only get here. One example of that are hot wieners, which are a small version of a hot dog, essentially, served with meat sauce, chopped onions, mustard and celery salt. Another dish is called the Snail Salad-this isn't just a pet name, there are actually five pounds of snails with other ingredients in this dish. There are more than 100 beaches along te state's coast, cruises along the Bay, Narragansett Bay, heritage trails, nature walks and so much more.

Economy: Being the Ocean State, it would make sense that Rhode Island would make its money in fishing and farming. Other industries that Rhode Island has been involved with are textiles during the American Industrial Revolution. Today, there is still a textile industry going strong, but not as it once was. The reigning industry in the state is health services. Other surprising industries are costume jewelry, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, machinery, shipbuilding and boatbuilding. Agricultural goods that are sold are nursery stock, vegetables, dairy products and eggs.
