History:
Founded in 1837, Atlanta, Georgia today is a fast-growing city, remaining a transportation hub not only of the country but also of the world. Over the last four decades, Atlanta has been closely linked to the Civil Rights Movement in America. In the 1960s, Atlanta became a major organizing center of the Civil Rights Movement, when Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and students from Atlanta's historically Black colleges playing major roles in the movement's progress. Civil Rights leaders help the movement to progress: working as visionaries who saw a new south and a new Atlanta. Because of them Atlanta became a fast-pace modern city. Selected as the site of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, Atlanta undertook several major construction projects, in the early 90s, to improve the city's parks, sports facilities and transportation. Atlanta proudly became the third US city to host the Summer Olympic Games. And in the past two decades since the Olympic Games, Atlanta has experienced unprecedented growth.

Efforts by local colleges and industry to make Atlanta a high-tech center are coming to fruition. Furthermore, Atlanta continues to make strides toward becoming a leading center of business and trade. More than 1,300 foreign-based businesses have operations in metropolitan Atlanta, employing more than 80,000 residents. With all of this exciting and growing business ventures, it's no wonder why Atlanta moving companies are so busy.
